Week 5 (was absent during seminar)
Lecture Reflections.
During the lecture, we learnt about Information System Crimes, and Security & Controls. We were taught about the various computer threats that are commonly found. We were shown videos of how dangerously easy it was for hackers to get into our phones and steal all our personal information. It showed a group of hackers who came together to demonstrate how easy it was for them. The most common way for hackers to hack into your phone is by setting up a fake WI-FI network. Because of how convincing it looked, people would put in their email, password, and number to log into it. By then, the hackers have got all the essential information to take all personal information from you, and could then go on to steal your money and so on. In this lesson, it taught me to be more cautious about security on my devices. I should not use the same password for every website I use, as it would make it so much easier for people to hack my devices. I should always check the validity of anything I click on and be cautious about any websites that look shady; as this could result in a virus being planted, which is another way for hackers to get into any of your devices.
Group Work.
This week, we met up on Tuesday to tell the rest of the group members (who were absent from the meeting last week) about our change in companies. We talked them through just as we did the others in the previous week, and have now decided as a group that we will be using Lebara as our company to interview.

Week 9
Lecture/Seminar Reflections.
During the lectures on Monday, we had a guest speaker. The main topic he spoke about was "Sustainability & Business in the 21st Century". We learnt about how business give back to the community in terms of social responsibility, and why they do it. We were showed a couple videos during the lecture; the first being a video entitled, "The World's Largest Lesson", where Malala spoke about creating a big project for everyone in the world to participate in. The video talked about how we only have one Earth, so we should actively work together to take care of the environment of Earth. If we continue on our current path, we would absolutely destroy the planet, leaving us with little to no sustainability as we polluted the air, the water, and destroyed our resources. The second video was an interview with a businessman, and he spoke about how every company's aim nowadays is to have Corporate Social Responsibility. Because if a business carelessly neglects the importance of their resources, they will be left with; resulting in them not making profits and going out of business. The lecture taught me to not just focus entirely on making money, and how greed alone will leave you with nothing. Taking care of the Earth will definitely benefit everyone on Earth in the long-run, and may open up new opportunities for businesses.
In the seminar, we were tasked to finish off any blog submissions we left out.
Group Work.
This week, my group met up and started filming our presentation. We had some problems at first with the "script" for out presentation, as a few of our teammates had not properly prepared things to say. After settling that, we did a test shoot of the presentation and found out that we had a timing issue as it did not even reach the minimum amount of time. After more adjustment, we filmed the video for real and we managed to get a satisfying time. We had a bit of a technical difficulty with the camera, but we managed to resolve the issue. We then had to wait for one of our group members to upload the video and send the link to us.

(Easter break)
During the Easter break although almost all my group members were travelling, we were able to communicate and make progress on our assignment through WhatsApp. We discussed about gathering the last remaining information to be put into the slides, and soon divided the parts of the presentation equally for each member. We also made the decision together to use Prezi instead of PowerPoint, as it is more aesthetically pleasing and exciting. After a couple weeks go by, most of the members are back except for one. So we discussed about when his arrival will be, and when would be suitable for everyone to come together and film the presentation. We unanimously agreed on filming a day after his arrival, and each of us continued on thinking up what to say during filming.
What I did individually was beginning researches for multiple assignments, but focused on the MIS group work first. I reviewed the solutions my teammates gave me and made any tweaks that needed to be made before putting it into the slides. I consistently checked up on each member to know what they have done, and tried to help everyone as best as I could. There were times where communication was lacking in a few days, but for most of the time the teammates co-operated well. As soon as I finished setting up the slides I added my colleagues into Prezi to share the slide with them, to see if they have any input on what should be fixed or changed. After a last look through the presentation slides, I finalized them and added finishing touches to polish it up.
